(Baking): Blondies Brownies

Beberapa wkt lalu aku sempat mengutak atik resep dr majalah the fine cooking ini.., yg kali ini themanya cookies semua..termasuk bermacam brownies. Percobaan pertama BB ini yg aku buat.., ada beberapa pengurangan dan tambahan bahan dr resep asli yg aku sesuaikan dgn keinginanku…, hasilnya….karena aku tambahin susu dan coklat jadi rasanya tuh complete gitu deh mantaappp, teksturnya lembut dan chewiest, terutama..bebas dari rasa baking powder or baking soda yg hampir selalu disertakan dlm resep kue2 luar negeri. Ayo coba deh….!!!

Source Fine Cooking No 23, cookies edition


Ingredients :
½ cup unsalted butter
11/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar ( to sweet, for me only ¾ cup )
1 large egg, and 2 eggs yolk
11/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
Scant ¼ tsp table salt
1 cup hazelnut/pecan toasted and coarsely chopped

Added by me : ( if you didn’t want, please ignore only follow the recipe above)
15 gr chocolate powder
¼ cup milk powder
½ cup bittersweet chocolate coarsely chopped


Directions:
Heat oven to 160˚C.
In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the butter and brown sugar, stirring frequently, until sugar has dissolved. Cook, 1 minutes until the mixture will bubble but shouldn’t boil. Set to cool for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile butter and 20 x 20 cm square pan, line the pan bottom with parchment paper.
Stir egg, eggs yolk and vanilla into cooled sugar mixture.
Add the flour, salt, (chocolate powder, and milk powder), nuts, and chocolate chopped, stirring until blended.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake until the center is springy when touched and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumb clinging to it, 25-30 minutes.

Cooling onto the rack and let cool completely. Cut into squares with sharp knife.
